THE FIRST STEP IS SURRENDERING

THE FIRST STEP IN CHANGING ANYTHING IS SURRENDERING OUR WILL. WE HAVE REPEATED TRIED TO DO IT OUR WAY AND IT DIDNT WORK. WEIGHT WATCHER HAS SPENT 30 YEARS IN THE HEALTHY EATING BUSINESS BUT WE CANT SURRENDER OUR WILL AND LET THE PROGRAM WORK. WHEN WE CAN SURRENDER OUR WILL AND LET GO OF STUBBORN CONTROL, THEN WE WILL MAKE PROGRESS. LETTING SOMEONE HELP, DOING IT THERE WAY, EVEN THOUGH WE DONT LIKE IT, IS SURRENDERING OUR STUBBORNNESS AND CONTROL.

THE SABOTAGERS

We all have them. The sabotagers. The people who put food in front of your face and tell you, "You have to enjoy life sometime". It's a game of control. They know your weaknesses and they want you to fail. The next minute they are commenting how much weight you have to loose. Sometimes we need to role play how we are going to handle them. No I dont want cheese cake does not work.


They will put it in front of your face and watch you squirm. They guilt you by telling you they cooked all day. Only take one, its ok. I find the best way to deal with this is to remove yourself from the room.

How many times as women do we put ourselves first. Me first means that we put what we need to succeed at our program first. If it means not going to functions for a while, or seeing certain people who either sabotage our success or makes us feel bad about our self image. In order to succeed at weight loss we have to put ME FIRST.

I had a dinner to attend. I wasnt prepared. The appetizers were cheese, pepperoni, pigs in the blanket, and pizza puffs. I ate what I should not have eaten. Friendly people filling their plates and shoving it in your face. UHHHH Next time Im bringing my own snacks, just in case there is nothing I can eat

PUTTING TEMPTATION IN A STRAIGHT JACKET

New Years I was sitting at a table and this woman looked in horror at the plate of food given to her. She demanded that they take all of the "fatty" food away immediately. She didnt leave it on her plate to give herself a second chance to think about it. I was impressed on how she was protecting her diet program and it showed, she looked great.

DISCIPLINING THE CHILD WITHIN

DISCIPLINING A CHILD IS TEACHING A CHILD BEHAVIOR UNTIL SHE/HE CAN INTERNALLY DO IT THEMSELVES.

Self disciplining is hard. It requires us to make conscious choices and tame the selfish, I WANT IT RIGHT NOW INNER CHILD
When disciplining a child, we set limits and teach appropriate behavior, and set consquences for in appropriate behavior in order for them to function as adults independantly in the real world. Sometimes as adults we forget those lessons and revert back to childish behavior. Getting your way, no matter what the consequences are is bullish and selfish.

Would we let a child eat a bag of cookies because they want to? Dieting is getting a grip on your inner child and doing what has to be done because it is healthier. We can continue to live in the selfish moment or we set limits and restrictions.

CHILDREN CAN BE VERY DISCEPTIVE AND MANIPULATING AND SO CAN OUR INNER THOUGHTS.

Weight Watcher's Meeting was a discussion of Believe. The word Believe means that you consciously believe that you can do this. To reach your goals it takes more that the word Believe. It takes action. You can believe that you can go to college and graduate but it takes hard work, long hours, focus, making it a priority, measuring progress, baby steps, success, failure, blood, sweat and tears. Nothing easy is worth pursuing.

New Year New Beginning

New Year New Beginnings.


















The holidays are behind and no more eating occasions. I find it alot easier to eat healthy when there is less temptations around. The more successful days I have the more I am able to commit to a healthy eating program.

I have to avoid self defeating habits and overwhelming temptations. I believe a lot of us feel we can handle tempting situations. The truth is I cannot. Once I start to the lose weight. The better I look, the more rewarding dieting becomes.

My thought for today. IMAGINE YOUR FUTURE POSITIVE SELF. I am imagining my skinny jeans looking and feeling good.
